Get him to bring it back, and go back with another coupon. They are so easy to get -- you can bring current linens and things or expired BBB ones.

i don't know if you can make your spouse "get it" - if you already said something to them, and they don't seem to care, then obviously it's not just about your trip to BBB, but the fact that you have differing views on money management. my DH knows that i rarely go shopping without a coupon, and he will just go shopping whenever he feels like, and justify what he purchased. that's why i try to take him with me whenever possible - and bring all the coupons i have

i think it's a good idea to return the stuff they bought and go back another time with a new coupon - 20% off $250 is $50!! that's a lot of $$!

you can bring in the receipt with the coupon and tell them you forgot it when purchasing - we have done it numerous of times.

the fact that he went out on his own- NICE! that would be a rare event for my DH.

maybe he didnt think it was a big deal the extra 50 bucks or so. my DH is like that.
