Passports?

How long does it take to get them? We are going on a cruise next August. When should I start the process? Thanks!

Re: Passports?

I've heard 6-8 weeks but i've also seen it take longer.

You just reminded me that I need to change my name on mine to my married name for my cruise in March!

Re: Passports?

They are back to their "normal" timeframe which is 6-8 weeks. Prior to that it was taking a lot longer. I applied for mine the first week of September and get it in the mail the third week of September.

Re: Passports?

I was also told 6 to 8 weeks. I would just get it done now while you are thinking about it. I kept putting it off then it was too late and I had to pay an extra $60 to expedite it.

Yeah, I'd just get it over with -- one less thing to worry about. Who knows what crisis will paralyze the passport offices next spring, right? Chat Icon

I don't have $300 right now to do it so I was going to wait until after the holidays.
