Crockpot liners or no?

If you use your crockpot, do you use those liners that Reynold's makes or no?

Re: Crockpot liners or no?

I don't. I think the crock pot is fairly easy to clean.

Re: Crockpot liners or no?

normally I just use the crockpot, because I have the insert that comes out....but I used the liners when we went camping, I made slow cooker ribs, and my mom heated up her meatballs in her crockpot-it was sooo easy with the liners-they worked perfectly, no mess.

Re: Crockpot liners or no?

YES!

We cooked a million times without the liners, then got them, and will never go back!

Few reasons:
1. The crockpot actually started to smell like a beef roast!! Chat Icon Even with handwashing, followed by the dishwasher.
2. As the crockpot ages, it develops small cracks in the ceramic. DH is worried that the liquids would eventually seep onto the warmer part below and possibly catch fire when we were at work and the crock pot was doing it's magic.
3. Ive NEVER found the crockpot easy to clean. I always have to soak it overnight before I put it in the DW.

The liners are fantastic! Chat Icon

Re: Crockpot liners or no?

I love for my crockpot, and love my liners so much more!!!!!!!! Granted, the pot itself is easy to clean, but being that it's ceramic, and a larger size, it's heavy.... This way, I just pull the liner, and mess is all gone!

I agree! The insert is heavy! I used the liner when I cooked in the crockpot in the middle of re-doing our kitchen. So easy to just pull out the liner and toss it. A nice timesaver!

Re: Crockpot liners or no?

I used my crock pot for the first time last night and made ribs. I didn't use the liners, but will be purchasing them for next time b/c I'm still soaking it as we type! Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Crockpot liners or no?

I use the crockpot liners all the time. It is so nice to have no mess or no soaking the pot.

Re: Crockpot liners or no?

I would not use mine if I did not have a liner. They are a must have.

I have not used them . . . yet, but I was thinking of buying them. Although I do not find it hard to clean, the liner woudl save me a few minutes.

Re: Crockpot liners or no?

I can't wait to pick up the liners and use them. Depending on what I make in the crock pot I have to soak it overnight. I would love to not have to do that anymore!
