Need a nice restaurant in Levittown or vicinity
We want to get a gift certificate for a restaurant near some friends who live in Levittown. We dont know the area well enough to know a really nice restaurant though.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated

Well, close to Levit or in the area is:
Jani's or Kwong Ming (Wantagh)
In Levit Domineco's but reviews are mixed these days.
Mateo's is in Bellmore but good

Jani in Wantagh. I've heard good things about Snaps in Wantagh, but I've never been. They don't have standard good though, for those picky eaters (like myself - haha). Piccolos isn't far (maybe 10 minutes) in Bellmore on Sunrise Highway. Many people like Hemenways, though we're not huge fans.

I live in Levittown...
Hunan Dynansty (chinese) in tri-county flea market parking lot)
Elisa's restaurant (italian) on North Jerusalem Rd. East Meadow ( near rosemary Kennedy)
Thom Thom (sushi/steak) in Wantagh just north of sunrise Highway. Very good food and different.
Snaps (in wantagh, just south of sunrise highway) small menu, but the food is sooooooooo delicious.
South of the border (Mexican), on wantagh ave.

Also, if they like seafood, one of my favorites right on Wantaugh Avenue just as you are about to get onto 107 is Popei's....
OMG - they have the best New England Clam Chowder there, and the last time I was home, my daddy (he's so great) asked me if I wanted anything special while I was home, and I told him I wanted soupies, and he went out and got me 2 quarts which I made sure to finish before I left NY!!!!!!!!
