Montreal. It is a beautiful city, especially the Olde Montreal area. This time of year they have horse drawn carriages on cobblestone streets. In the summer, it is beautiful as well.

ETA: Toronto is more like NYC or Chicago. Montreal is close enough to drive to. I don't know how much there is for a 21 month old to do there as we went before I had DD. HTH

Re: Favourite city in canada and why>

I loved Old Montreal...we went in late September and it was very fall-like but they still had the outdoor cafes open.

I would expect it to be cold this time of year...but still gorgeous.

I've heard Quebec is equally as gorgeous - they're both very European-like.

ETA: I wrote a review of the trip here...

I've only been to Vancouver, so I can't say for sure that it's my favorite. But I absolutely love Vancouver -- it's the perfect mix of cosmopolitan/culture and rugged/nature.

Montreal!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I used to say "Montreal because its like going to Europe but cheaper", but now that the USD is worthless, its not as cheap.

They have it all... little cafes, cute bars, a huge casino. Love it!

Canada is a big place!! If you mean anywhere, Vancouver is beautiful. If you are looking to stay closer, Quebec City would be my vote.

I'd say Montreal too. It's beautiful and there are so many restaurants to choose from !
