I taught with a fellow teacher whose name was Mike Hunt... yes a high school teacher by the name of
Mr. Mike Hunt... and in a Catholic school...
I swear... so   I couldn't make this up.

My maiden name was Kathryn Linton. My mom always wanted to name her daughter Catherine, but she figured Catherine Linton was TOO literary (and she was an english teacher) so she changed my spelling.
Catherine Linton from Wuthering Heights.

My husband does not have a famous name but he has the same name as a lawyer here on LI whose reputation is not the greatest. I am a lawyer and people assume that I must be married to THAT lawyer. (DH is not a lawyer--why do people assume that I must have married one?)

He used to call me to the job he placed me at & they'd annoucne him over the PA--always good for a laugh!

We hired a Ben Stein at my company. It's been a constant source of amusement along with a person with the last name "Hu" (said who).
I can't even begin to count the number of emails it takes to get an answer from managers who go back & forth saying "who?" "Hu." "What?" "No. Hu." "First base!"

I shared the same last name with a senior executive of a well known Long Island company. I was constantly asked if there was any relation. There wasn't.
My husband's name is from one song, performed by two well known artists.
I used to be friends with someone named Mark Hamill. Everyone called him Luke and he didn't mind.
