Re: Need meatloaf recipe please?

Don't laugh, but I use the recipe on the back of Lipton's Onion Soup mix box

sometimes I'll add a box of frozen spinach or some shredded cheddar to it

It's awesome!! Chat Icon

Re: Need meatloaf recipe please?

my aunt gave me a 'lazy" meatloaf recipe- lol. get a pack of lipton garlic and herb soup mix ( the dry packets). throw that and an egg in the ground beef and mix it up and form it into a loaf. bake it for about an hour at 350. soo good and sooo easy!!

i've also just used the lipton dry onion soup mix ( like half a packet with one pound of meat) and added the other spices like chopped garlic, oregano, basil, parsley, etc...

Re: Need meatloaf recipe please?

I do what my grandma taught me to do...

hamburger meat
ground pork
egg
oatmeal to bind instead of bread crumbs
salt and pepper
onions
I add steak seasoning to mine
garlic

mix and shape into a loaf. I top mine with ketchup and parmasean cheese. Bake at 350 for 1hr to 1 1/2 hrs.

Re: Need meatloaf recipe please?

If you are looking to lighten up here is a fantastic Turkey Meatloaf recipe.

This is all I make now my 10 year old and 7 yr old LOVE it

Ground Turkey
1 med onion (pureed with about 2 tbsp. of water in the blender)
Italian Bread crumbs
Milk (about 1/4 c)
1 to 2 egss Depending on how much breadcrumbs you put in
Salt and Pepper to taste
1 Tbsp of Wostershire sauce
sprinkle paprika on the the top for browning and flavor

Shape into a loaf and bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.

For extra yumminess cut 4to 5 potatoes into wedges spray with cooking oil, salt pepper and paprika and bake with the meatloaf

ENJOY!!!!!

Ground beef, bread crumbs, egg (about 1 egg to each 1-1.5 lbs of meat), Lipton Onion Soup mix (or really diced onion), salt and pepper. Mix together, make loaf and bake. With about 5 minutes left, top with can of tomato sauce.
