Re: preparing formula - boiled water or bottled?

Either one works....it was much easier for me to use the bottled water. To heat it up, I put the bottle in warm water for a few minutes...by the time I came back from changing her diaper it was good to go.

Re: preparing formula - boiled water or bottled?

i boiled but only for the 1st few weeks then it was all bottled.

We since have gotten a water cooler, but the pedi is now recommending flouridated water-- so i use nursery water every so often or plain old tap water

I boil the bottled water too. It is not free of impurities.

What ever is easiest. I use Nursery water b/c Its sterile ( Bottles water is not) but its really just based on how much of a crazied lunatic you are IMO about what goes into them( Im a BIG one! ) ...My ped said even tap water is ok....

Ha. I use tap water if I am in a pinch. Or I boil a pot and make a pitcher of formula.

Tap water is more regulated than bottled water.

Re: preparing formula - boiled water or bottled?

thanks, ladies. if i were in new york i would use plain tap water with no problem, but i'm paranoid about the water here in north carolina since it doesn't taste as good as the ny tap water... i know, it's crazy, but i'm convinced that it's bad...

so i guess if i use tap water i will boil it, but i also have bottled water that i will use.

Re: preparing formula - boiled water or bottled?

I was using bottled. Then I ran out recently, and now I'm using the Brita pitcher. Our tap water has such a strong chlorine smell, I don't feel comfy giving it to her straight from the tap.

Bottled water -- whatever we have. Usually Poland Spring or Dasani.

Re: preparing formula - boiled water or bottled?

I use the nursery water

But when I asked my Ped. about it, he said water through a Brita filter is just fine.
