dh's friends wives

does anyone else feel like you have nothing in common with your dh's friends wives? I feel like everytime we get together I can't wait until the night is over.

Yup - thats why we never go out together with them. DH is ok being alone. I don't waste my nights - unless its a wedding or a b/day or something. I try to do everything I can to avoid those get togethers!

I get along with most of them and like them too.

yep, they are extremely health conscious (to a fault) , and I being 119 pounds, am the fatty of the group

Luckily we are all great friends. It definitely makes life so much easier. Work functions now that's another story.

b!tch. She talks to everyone like they are 2. We have to go there next week and spend a few days w/them.

I did at first, but then I started looking at it like this...it was a blind FRIEND date. I took my husband and there's out of it and we have friendships all of our own. If you look at it as they are your friends not dh's friends wives (that's a mouth full!) then you can take some pressure off

I get along well with DH's friends and their SOs. I always have a good time with them.

I get along with most of Dh friends and their SO except this one friend and his wife.

It depends. I've become good friends with the gf of one of his friends, others I just get along with, others I think are a little wacky and try to avoid.

I actually like all of DH's friends wives, and there are alot of them, so I am SO! lucky. On the other hand I have some friends who's wives I could do without!!

we actually all get along really well... we'll even get together sometimes and the girls will do girls night, and the guys will do guys night.
theres only one of them that i don't really like... but they don't come out much anyway, so it works out

totally....they are nice, but I just have nothing in common with them. BUT now that we all have babies and havent seen each other in awhile we should have some stuff to talk about now.

DHs friends still aren't married yet (the only one that is i've never met b/c he lives on the other side of the country).
Most of their girlfriends I don't have anything in common w/. I always opt for movie nights when we get together b/c then it's much less time I have to actually socialize w/ them...

A couple of them I feel like I don't have a lot in common with, or I would never speak to them otherwise if it wasn't for my husband.

I have become really good friend's with one of them and we are moving to her neighborhood! I can't wait.

I've actually met some of her friends who are really cool so it will be nice to be around normal, nice females finally.

(I feel really isolated where we live now).

I think what is hard is that a lot of them have been friends for years and years, or went to school together so they have that common bond.

No one has really been out and out rude to me though.

My husband wishes we would all bond more and go out and do things together, but I am content whether or not that happens or not.

Though we dont see them often (since we live upstate and they live in Queens/LI) I feel like we get along almost as if WE were the friends

none of DH's friends are married yet. i havent had the pleasure of meeting any of their gf's yet cause i guess they're not too serious about them.

eventually, they'll have to grow up and i HOPE i like whoever it is they end up with.

Because Dh is almost 10 years older than me, and most of his friends are older than him, the wives are either my mom's age or close to it. I feel like the kid in the group sometimes, and avoid most of the social gatherings, unless it's a major event.

I like them, but don't have much in common with them. I work in the city and work long hours and are much more career oriented and driven than they are. But I'm sure once we have a baby I'll have more in common.
