Costa Rica BOOKED!!
DH and I just booked 8 nts/9 days in Costa Rica in January.
3 nts in Manuel Antonio at Arenas del mar
3 nts in Arenal/La Fortuna at Lost Iquana Lodge
2 nts in Varablanca at Peace Lodge
If anyone has any insight, please share. We are so EXCITED

January is in their dry season (Mid Nov-Mid May). I think the weather is always tropical, but it can get a little chilly at night. We were there last spring (the beginning of June), and while it was the start of the green season (rainy season), we only had one day of rain, and for the most part it was hot and humid but not unbearable.
When we went last year, we booked everything ourselves.
ETS: Because Costa Rica is so ecologically diverse, the weather can vary from place to place. The touristy area, Manuel Antonio where most people travel to, is what I described above.

I did alot of research on Trip Advisor and looked at alot of suggested itineraries. Then I typed up exactly what I wanted and sent it to my travel agent at Liberty Travel. She booked my exact trip.
Even though I did all of the research, I like to use a TA instead of booking it all on my own because they get better rates and I can purchase insurance.
