Need female OB GYN in Nassau: update 1/2
Hi ladies.. Dh and i are TTC and my current GYN doesnt do OB. I am looking for a female OB GYN that i can be comfortable with. i was raped years ago and still have panic attack when it comes to my annual visit. I dont know if i should continue with my current gyn untill i get A BFP or go a head and line up a new one to begin the whole process. Open to advice.
Update: So i made an appointment with dr. haunauer. I could tell the differance in her service right away. Thanks again for all the recommendations.

I hear she is great! I go to Women for WOmen in lake success - they are also terrific. They are affiliated with LIJ.

There is a female OB in the practice I go to BUT, if you get pregnant you switch off between both doctors - one male, one female. Whichever practice you choose, you should make sure that you will only see female doctors throughout your pregnancy if this is a concern of yours. Many practices have you see multiple doctors in the group in case your OB is not available for the actual delivery.

Dr. Francine Fradella delivered my 2 kids. She is a solo practice but does have a female (my mind went blank  , not nurse practioner but..)Kay who I also like. She is N. Massapequa on N. Broadway and delivers at Winthrop.

I  my OB, but there is a female and a male in the practice, and you would need to see both. Good luck!!

I second that! She and her partner both are amazing. I had a very difficult PG & I truly believe that DS & I are both here & safe because she was so active in my care.

Dr. Joanna Paolilli--office in Mineola and Old Brookville. Her 2 associates are male, so there is a chance one of them could be there day of delivery. But I am comfortable with all of them!
I used to go to Dr Fradella (mentioned above). She is very good too! But Dr. Paolilli's office is more convenient for me.

She is my OB also. Kay is a physicians assistant. Physician Assistant (PA) is a health care professional licensed to practice medicine with the supervision of a licensed physician. Kay is really nice as well.

Hi, I can recommend my OB, her name is Dr. Joan Altman-Neumann, she is affiliated with LIJ. She is very attentive, and has a "solo" practice, which means you get her and her only. I am due any day now, so she hasn't delivered me yet, but I feel confident with her. Her office is in New Hyde Park, 2001 Marcus Avenue.
