How much/What clothes are you buying?
I was talking to my coworker who is pregnant with her second and due 3 weeks after me regarding clothes. She said not to waste my money and buy tons of onesies and sleepers. She said she purchased a ton of cute clothes for her first and found that she didn't really use them.
That got me thinking - what and how many outfits are you buying? My shower is not until early Feb so I know I will get stuff then. I have purchased a few items here and there. What have you purchased? And how many in the 0-3 size versus newborn?

I stagger everything that I buy.... I have items ranging from NB all the way to 24 months!
ETS that most of what I buy in NB is things like onesies and sleeper outfits... nothing tremendous, and def not a lot of outfits. The outfits that I have purchased for her have basically been more advanced in age....

I honestly haven't bought anything and i don't plan on it until after my shower. My SIL at her shower, got TONS of newborn clothes and 0-3 months. So she was pretty set on clothes for that time period.
I will agree that onsies are the way to go and i wouldn't spend too much money on cute outfits. They're just newborns and they'll grow out of them so fast. But that's just me. I always go to the sale section at baby gap and get $3-4 items because i'm too cheap to spend a lot of money on something that will be used in the blink of an eye.

This is my second and I'm buying predominantly onsies & sleepers.
I received A TON of clothing when I had DD and unfortunately most of it has been packed away with their tags still attached.

I bought exactly 4 newborn outfits, and they're not even outfits really - they're more like stretchies. I won't buy any more than that because I got a ton of stuff from my shower and chances are my baby will outgrow the newborn stuff within a week or two.
My best friend told me she has a ton of snap shirts, onesies and sleepers for me so I'm not buying any more of them either until after the baby comes.

nothing so far. I figure I'll see what I get at my shower first, and then SIL has a 5 month old, and she's not having any more so she has told me that she has a ton of clothes people bought her that he never wore so she's going to pass those down to me.
But as PP said, if I see something super cute for $3-$4, I'll buy it!

I bought things here and there if i saw something that I really loved. I also bought a few things from gap that were all on sale. I bought different sizes from newborn to 6-9 months. I did buy something in 12 months too...it was an Adidas track suit...omg it was so cute I couldn't resist!!!!!!!

I got some stuff for Christmas, like onesies, a couple of cute dresses, hooded bath towels, burp cloths and blankets.
The only thing I bought on my own was the Miracle Blanket.

i didn't buy anything til after my shower, i got so much stuff. i didn't bother with any NB only 0-3 and 3-6. i got some onsies ans sleeper type things. it'll be winter and we won't be leaving the house much in the begining.
