mailing out resumes...

is it more appropriate to mail to the individual school or to the personell offices?

I heard one school told someone they had to apply online ONLY.

Re: mailing out resumes...

A lot schools no longer accept resumes directly, you have to apply on-line.

I'm not sure if it's worth the effort to do a mass mailing, but it probably won't hurt anything.

ETA: To answer your question, I would think mailing to the school directly might help, but again, you might just get a generic postcard in the mail that you have to apply on-line.

Re: mailing out resumes...

submitting directly to the school helps... particulalrly if you know of a specfic opening at that school.

many districts do it on-line though and specfically state NO paper resumes in their ad, so be careful.

I don't think they are talking about emailing a resume, but more so applying online through the application system (which takes FOREVER & A DAY)....

If you are still going to mail resumes though, I'd definitely apply even if there is no posted job.

Both times I changed schools I sent resumes out to the entire diocese & got so many calls about jobs that weren't publicly posted.

For the public schools I started calling schools in June asking if they have any available positions & then I'd send a resume out or get a feel.

yes, I've done the online applications Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I meant sending out in general, outside of applying directly for a specific position.

I gotta get my butt in gear with this. Chat Icon
