Re: Re-post. Head aches
I was never one for meds, even pre-pg. When I have headaches instead of taking meds, I drink alot more water, maybe if you can try to lay down in a dark room for a little while. I am also prone to migraines and that works for both. Another wonderful pg side effect.. Feel better soon!

Re: Re-post. Head aches
tylenol helped me
if it's streess in the back of your neck and shoulders--a massage works well
if it's sinus/behind the eyes....I take a hot shower and let the water run over my face and head and do head rolls from one side to the other to loosen the tension. I'll also cup my hands together and stick my face in it and blow bubbles (like when you are underwater) to loosen the congestion.

Re: Re-post. Head aches
They have a new thing called Head On. Its like a giant chapstick that yuo put directly on your forehead. Its actually working pretty well for me if I catch the headache right away.

Re: Re-post. Head aches
In the begining of my pregnancy, I suffered from terrible headaches. You can only use tylenol, which is okay. I also would put warm compresses on my forhead and try to take a nap. Some times even warm, steamy showers can help.

Re: Re-post. Head aches
I get them a lot now that I'm PG. I usually wait until they get really bad and if they do, I take 1 Tylenol - if that doesnt help I will take another one.

Re: Re-post. Head aches
I suffered from Migraines before I got PG. I had gotten few headaches and swore Tylenol would not help being that I would have to pop Excedrin Migraine to relieve them before. Believe it or not a message and Tylenol did help a bit. But it was very difficult to have to wait it out. Thank goodness I haven't gotten one in a while.

Re: Re-post. Head aches
Have DH massage your neck/shoulders or go to a professional. Use one of those buckwheat microwave heating things (not too hot though). They helped me so much. Heat really helps to relax your upper body muscles which will help relieve your headache. You can also use an ice pack directly on the area of your head that hurts. Feel Better!

Re: Re-post. Head aches
When I was pregnant with my daughter, I remember that I went through a week or two of on and off headaches. The only thing you can do is take Tylenol if you have to and drink more water. Try to eat healthy. Last week I had a headache that wouldn't go away and it was going on day 3. I was starting to worry. Nothing would help, not Tylenol, not more sleep. Then it hit me, I had run out of tea and for several days only had decaf. I was having withdrawals. I only have one cup usually a day but that was enough and my body missed it and I was paying for it. I went to the store and bought more tea. I had one cup that day and I was fine. No more headaches. Isn't that weird?

Re: Re-post. Head aches
I get them every once in a while, but more in the beginning.. I took tylenol and sometimes just tried to let it go away on its own.
