Turks and Caicos
I posted last week that my husband and I are trying to decide on a summer vacation. I asked about Atlantis in the Bahamas and Bermuda (Fairmont( but I was also considering The Palms in Turks and Caicos. Any opinions. What is there to do in Turks. Will we be bored after 2 days? TIA!!!

Re: Turks and Caicos
I loved turks and caicos - i have been there 4 times. The resorts usually have lots of activities - we played some games, went snorkeling; parasailing. It was a wonderful beach vacation. i don't think there is much on the island to do - I think there was a conch farm.

Re: Turks and Caicos
I have been to both places. The Palms definitely has the better beach. But T&C has absolutely nothing to do. We also went to all of the restaurants that were supposed to be the best on the island and honestly only one was excellent.
Bahamas can be a little chilly certain times of the year. Their beach is definitely not as nice and the water tends to be rougher. But they have many more things to do. It is kind of Disney-esque.
So I would try and decide what kind of vacation you want and then pick based on that.
I have also been to Bermuda. I would say that Bermuda has just as nice beaches as T&C, but Bermuda has more to do.

Re: Turks and Caicos
I went to the Palms in Turks & Caicos
This was our routine -
8a - reserve pod at pool, get bfast, coffee and go to beach
11a - head to pool bc it gets too hot
1130a - start the drinks at the swim up bar
100p - lunch at swim up bar and more drinks til about 5
5p - nap 8p - dinner 11p -sleep
we broke down one day and went snorkeling and conch diving
and that is all there is too do -- but we LOVED IT
it is all personal preference i guess...just letting you know drinking and sunbathing are the two main attractions
I have some pics in my album we did love the resort, the waiters came in the water at the beach to serve us our drinks...but we were there before the Regents bought it about a yr ago

Sounds like our vacation. A very relaxing vacation but not much to do.
We did take a walk down to the Beaches and swim, play and drink there. Nobody was the wiser.
I'll tell you one thing though, they do water down those drinks at Sandals, Beaches..etc..we went back to the Palms and drank and there was a big difference!!!

Re: Turks and Caicos
We loved Turks. We snorkeled right off the beach, went to the Iguana ISland, and relaxed a lot! Not much to do there but it was my favorite vacation ever!
