WW and PCOS?

Hi, I went on weight watchers a couple of years ago when I was working at a job that had the meetings in the building. When I left my job I stopped attending the meetings b/c we moved 2 hours away. Then my basement flooded right after we moved into our house and I lost a lot of our stuff, including all of the ww books w/ the points and eating out guide, etc...

How do I go about getting them again? Is the only way to sign up for the meetings? I was hoping to ease myself into it before attending meetings- and get myself used to cooking for DH and I more first.

Also, I have PCOS. I lost about 15 pounds the first time on it and then stopped. Anyone else do WW that has PCOS? If so, how does it work for you?

Honestly, for me (I have PCOS too), WW did not work for me and it was very frustrating! I measured and weighed everything, and followed the program to a "T" I didn't lose as much as an ounce, so I gave up. Now that I'm on the Metformin, I'm contemplating starting back, as I've found that only with the Met do I lose any weight.

Re: WW and PCOS?

I'm going back on Metformin and need to give WW another shot. My RE wants me to lose 10-15 lbs w/in three months.

I did WW before my wedding and lost 20+ with practically no effort. I was on the pill then, so my PCOS symptoms weren't a factor then.

Re: WW and PCOS?

So, to update... I just joined WW again last week and had my first weigh in last night...4.4lbs! Maybe being on the pill again in preparation for IVF in March also helped, or maybe the Met has definately helped with my insulin levels enough to assist in helping me to lose the weight. Either way, I'll take it!
