Re: Resume HELP
Posted by kbeana24
I am starting an internship this fall. The person who will be my advisor asked me to email him a resume. All my work experience is somewhat, but not directly related, to the new field of work. I am completing grad school now, should I include my relevant coursework in the resume I will send him? Where should I put it? Under the Education section? I am emailing him tonight, so any help is appreciated!!!!!!!!!
TIA
Feel free to email me...and I'd be more than happy to assist.
Name - Address/T/E
DO NOT PUT AN OBJECTIVE!
Education: Grad School w/Anticipated Graduation Date - Relevant Coursework
Undergrad School - Relevant Coursework
Related Experience Company Name/Dates/Title - w/bullet-points list your responsibilities
Other Expreience Company Name/Dates/Title - w/out bullet-points (paragraph form) write VERY briefly what your responsibilities were.
Skills
Certifications/Lics
Volunteering Info/Awards, etc.
References: Excellent references furnished upon request
Oh, and one pointer...if you have an email like:
[email protected] - PLEASE set up a free email account with yahoo/hotmail/gmail with your name! I'm sure this doesn't apply to you, but I receive at least 30+ resumes with these nonsense email addresses....and it's embarrassing that I write back with the same suggestion!
