Can someone please help me!! Sending Resume via email!
I didn't put this on the career board because this board gets much more traffic, and I need help ASAP!
I'm trying to send my resume via email. Now there are two options: --attach resume and cover letter --Paste resume and cover letter
Which is better to do?
If I attach them which should I send first and I have no idea how to paste them. I never sent my email over computer. I'm lost! Someone PLEASEEEEEEEE help!!! TIA!!!!!!

The formatting will look much better if you attach the resume. If they are willing to accept an attachment, I would do this.
When you are a attaching a resume and cover letter, make sure your subject and body of the email state which position you are applying for and that the resume and cover letter is attached. If this information is not provided, many employers will delete the email (fear of viruses, etc.)
If they are not willing to accept an attachment, you should format it as a scannable resume - no bullets, or tabs.
eta: If you have specific questions, let me know.

Send both a cover letter and the resume as an attachment. Do not paste in the body on an email.
Just click the little paper clip icon in your email and choose the cover letter first, attach. Then click the paperclip again and choose the resume. Make sure it is not named anything stupid. If you want to send it to me first just to be sure it comes ok FM me

Always ATTACH your resume and cover letter to an email. Pasting it could make the format really strange.

Oh, so it's ok to attach the cover letter first then attach the resume? They do not have to be attached?

They can be two separate documents.

I would make the body of the email the cover letter & write that attached is your resume.
Also I would name the word doc your first initial & last name versus resume.doc.

Definitely do this - recruiters get a million resume.doc's!

Re: Can someone please help me!! Sending Resume via email!
As long as it's the same email.
What email service do you use?
Yahoo, Google, Optonline?
Once you click create or compose an email there should be an option usually in the form of an icon shaped like a paper clip. Others just say "Add an Attachment".
Once you choose that command a box will pop up letting you browse your computers hard drive for the attachment.
Once you have located the Cover Letter click it and then click add. This will bring you back to the email and you should now see a file attached somewhere. Either in the body or under the Subject line.
Repeat the same steps to attach the resume.
