help with Niagara Trip

I am planning a golf tournament in Canada at Niagara Falls this summer, but the only hotels that I can find are really low budget ones, since I'm going during Canada Day... Do you think it's a big deal if I book a hotel in New York at the Seneca Niagara Casino and just drive to Canada each day for golf? It is a much nicer and cheaper hotel than what I would get in Canada, but I don't know if it will be a hassle for a shuttle to drive us to the courses each day - any opinions? Everybody else can just walk to Canada for the touristy stuff - any opinions are appreciated!

The drive wouldn't be that far at all if you stayed on the New York side. I did find that at certain times, it took a long time to cross the border though. We were literally waiting for about an hour on the bridge to get into Canada on the way there.

We stayed in Canada, at the Sheraton. It was a nice clean hotel, and our room had an unbelievable view of the falls. I don't remember how mch we spent per night, but I know that it was less than $275 per night.

Have fun...I had an awesome time.

I think constantly crossing the border is going to be a HUGE pain...esp. on/near Canada day............have you tried diff. websites for room bookings? sometimes,availability differs from website to website......

I don't think I would be the happiest individual if I had to constantly go through customs. It is much easier to go through just twice.
