Anyone leave and then go back?

Anyone leave a co. and then see it wasn't so bad and decide to try and see if you can go back?

Pros/Cons of this?

My current job is just ridiculous, I see how my other job was ok - I think I can handle it better (felt frustrated and underapprreciated) b/c I "know my enemy", can change my attitude (and get more money). My old boss was a self-absorbed socialite, now I have 70 clients who are the same - I'd rather have one. Plus I'm TTCing, which my old boss knows so it would all be out in the open, and I feel like although she can gloat I came back - I also know I wasn't afraid to leave - KWIM?

i personally have not done this but i know someone who has. it seemed fine from what she told me, though i'd think that your boss would be raising an eyebrow at you the entire time since you left once already. it may not be the same.

I got laid off from a job I had for 11 years. 1 year and 3 months later, I was hired back. that's where I am right now and I couldn't be happier!

go with your gut. if you're thinking about going back, try and see first if that is an option and if there is an opening for you. then take it from there.

my boss did. She was with our firm for 18 years, left to go to another firm for about 6 months and came back. They welcomed her with open arms.

I also left an agency once, then went back during grad school because the hours were better and it was just overall more supportive of my graduate education.

Yes, but I went back at a much higher position.
