Cozumel, Mexico or Belize??

Has anyone been to these places?

For Cozumel, did you do all inclusive or not?
Any info on Belize?

Thanks...we are having such a difficult time deciding where to go for vacation....

I've been to the Riviera Maya in Mexico (you can see Cozumel in the water from there). We loved it! We stayed at The Royal Hideaway

HI - I actually went on a cruise in march and the stops included Cozumel and Belize.

I personally would choose Cozumel ANYTIME over Belize.

Keep in mind that Belize has no beaches (its widely known for diving - unless you and DH are divers - I don't think you would particularly enjoy yourself in belize). The main attraction there was a casino - and when we went there were very few people there and almost no one at the tables). The food was also horrible and the hotel rooms were not impressive - and we stayed at the Marriott for one night because we boarded our cruise there). They did have some cave extrusions which we didn't go too, so that might be of interest to you - but keep in mind there are no beaches to swim.
Cozumel on the other hand was so much fun. The beaches were beautiful and if your looking for sun, beach, clubs and restaurants - i would say Cozumel is the way to go.

I went to Belize city, it wasn't nice. I am a huge advocate for Mexico though, I love it there. Cozumel was a lot of fun.

Loved Cozumel!!! We are going again for our HM.

Belize not so great .... just wasn't impressed.

Thanks... that is really helpful... we are going to talk to a travel agent about Cozumel on Thursday. It sounds even better than Cancun.
