Spinoff to delivery question

I noticed that lots of you mommas made it to 37, 38, and 39+ weeks - how did you do it????? I am TERRIFIED of these babies coming too early. Is there anything that you did that you think helped them make it that long? Am I just paranoid from reading every book that tells me that my babies will be born super early and be in the NICU for months no matter what? Do I just need to relax??????

Thanks!!!!!

It is all a craps shoot. I worked until 34 weeks was told to stop working at that point for low fluid and was induced at 35 weeks. I could have gone longer and still worked. I thinik taking it easy helps but they will come when they want to come.

Also when you read stuff, it is always the worst case scenario.

Good Luck and Relax!

I dont know if it made any difference but I stopped working at 29 weeks and took it easy after that. I was induced at 38 weeks.

Re: Spinoff to delivery question

I think it just depends on the individual. My doctor wanted me to stop working at I "think" 29 weeks - I didn't stop until about 35 and had them at 37.

Basically, you just have to take it easy and try to relax as much as possible.
It can get extremely uncomfortable toward the end (well - in the middle too!) You need to listen to your body and don't overdue it. Rest is crucial - I used to go to bed at like 8:00 every night!!!

It depends on your situation. My last day of work is this Friday, I will be 26 weeks. My doctor didnt want me commuting anymore (I work in Manhattan)

Rest is very important.

Re: Spinoff to delivery question

I am a teacher, and did one session of summer school, but sat down the whole time. I went in the first day of school, so I could get paid my sick days, and was induced that week at 37 weeks.
The key is to just take it esay and stay rested twords the endChat Icon
