Gift question for twins 1st Birthday

I keep debating this in my mind (actually it's a pathetic battle with just myself to argue against) - we have a birthday party (1st birthday) for twin boys this summer. Do I...

- Get two of the same outfits and two of the same toys
or
- Get two different outfits and two of the same toys
or
-Get two of the same outfits and two different toys
or
-Get two different outfits and two different toys

??? I admit that I might be making a bigger deal of this than I should but I want to do what would be the best of the options. Thanks!

Does the mom dress them exactly alike?

I don't like identical outifts and they only wear them occassionally.

I would get the coordinating outifts. Also do this with the toys. We got 2 ride on toys from a friend, one was Mickey and the other was Pooh, but same basic idea.

I like this idea, and then a small toy each (if that is within your budget). That is what most people did for DDs - coordinating outfits and a toy each. HTH!

OMG - never thought about coordinating the items...that's perfect!

I have to admit that I have no idea if she dresses them alike...we rarely see them although they are cousins. Chat Icon

Then go with the coordinating, they match but aren't exact. I have a few double outifts that never got fully worn since I didn't want them in matching stuff all the time.

I love the coordinating outfit idea, i wish they made more b/g coordinating stuff. And maybe a small toy but dont go nuts!

I recently had this dilema and what I did was get them each a small toy (different) and each an outfit. The pants were the same and so were the shirts but the shirts were opposite colors.
