is cancun all up and running?
i know it was a few years ago but wondering if anyones been to cancun recently.. is everything 'back to normal' since it got a giant hurricane 2 years ago?

I was there during the hurricane  and went back a year later and everything was fine. Where are you thinking of staying?

we want cheap and all inclusive...
we were looking at puerto vallarta the riu
its about 1000 per person.. we are lookign to stay at or under that
we are now looking at riu cancun.. its about the same price..
ive been there twice before (cancun) not the riu and have no complaints..pretty much what i like... bad buffett food and "free drinks" haha... its our last "party" trip before i get preggers so me and DH.. and our best friend are going...but him and his SO are coming from the left coast of us... not here..

since ur such the traveler (ive been a few places but much bigger on pick a destination and go.. rather then pick a few and let everyone agree) ..
heres the week we are avail to go... see what you can do with that hhehe (this is for anyone who wnats to help! haha)
leave sun 4/27 (can leave 4.28)
back sat 5/3 (or 5/2 if it chnages airfare dramtically)
we want to go to mexico AI
we were looking into vegas for a few days instead but the airfare was insane....
we also leave from newark only (we live in snj)

I was there this past August right after a huricanne came though... Everything was like 95% normal as the storm just missed a direct hit..
Had a great time...stayed at Cancun Palace for 5 nights... We left the hotel once for a tour to the ruins...Was go to downtown but had plenty of entertainment at the hotel...

Check here...the Grand Sunset Princess looks nice and it is just over 1k for 6 nights plus air and all-inclusive..
