So excited...booked a little getaway to Newport, RI!
Just booked a little getaway to Newport, RI. I originally planned on booking at Francis Malbone (LIF recommendation!) but the dates we wanted were sold out. So I researched trip advisor and found another B&B that looks perfect for hubby and I. It is called Hydrangea House Inn and it is in the heart of Newport and walking distance to most shops and restaurants. Love that they named one room the "Carrie in Paris" Suite

I lived in Newport for 6 months and loved it! What a great town. They have a lot of free concerts in the summer that are a lot of fun.

Kim...you're going to love it! I want to go back already. The cliff walk was so awesome - we did it in June. I loved the mansions too!
We ate at The Mooring (try the 'bag of doughnuts"), Mama Luisa's (the pasta bolognese was TDF), and a restaurant called Scales and Shells (forget the name) and I loved that one b/c they made the spaghetti w/ clam sauce just like my mom makes it...delicious!
I can't wait to hear about your mini trip!
