How would you know if you had shingles???

I have these weird sensations in my back and it is very sensitive I know it is caused by chicken pox which I already had but I reading that before the sores come the skin is sensitive...Being home sick for two days makes your mind wonder

It is a rash that is one side of your body. Really sensitive cause it is hooked to your nerves. The rash ooze pus. My husband had this really bad. If you think you do have it make an appointment ASAP They will give you an antiviral and cream that will help a lot. Feel better soon.

I had a mild case, and it hurt. The rash was just a rash, it didn't spread or look weird or ooze or anything, and I had shooting pains down my arm (it goes down your neural pathway). It's only supposed to be on one side of your body.

If you go to a dermatologist, they can help and prescribe something if they catch it soon enough. I waited over a week, and my doctor said there was nothing we could do but wait it out at that point.

I had shingles on my back last year. It started out as just a tingling feeling, then the itch started, and was a rash of red bumps 3-4 inches in diameter. Very uncomfortable! I went to the dermatologist & she diagnosed it just by looking at it. She gave me Valtrex & a cream to put on it & it healed pretty fast, but I still have a few scars from it. She was saying it often happens when the immune system is supressed, like when you're sick, stressed out, not enough sleep, etc. I suggest seeing your dermatologist.

my dad just got over shingles. he had a very painful rash on his chest. did you go to the doctor?
