Spinoff to getting a NYC job
Hi all,
I saw ziamaria's post about getting a NYC job. I can see that I have to apply directly to schools but does anyone know of a good way to identify what schools I might want to apply to?
I definitely want to consider distance (either as far east as possible or near a LIRR stop.)
Is there some kind of list of NYC schools anywhere? Like the one on SCOPE's site for Long Island?
Any other advice is appreciated. I'm certified in Social Studies.
Thanks!!

Check out schools.nyc.gov and there are links for teachers.

Re: Spinoff to getting a NYC job
Insideschools.org is a good site for school reviews- I have read my school's review and several others that I've visited or am otherwise familiar with. IMO, the info is very objective.
The schools.nyc.gov site also uses a map of the city, so that should help geographically.
