Please recommend your lasik surgeon
DH has a very high index, and has been wearing contacts for about 20 years. He had some eye strain this weekend and the Optomestrist recommended (and almost insisted) that he get lasik b/c his eyes are getting fatigued from constant corrective lens wear.
DH has a prescription of 10.25 in one eye, and 9.75 in the other. His prescription has not changed in 10 years.
We are in Nassau but willing to travel for excellent care.

My husband just had this done on Feb 5, and is now seeing 20/20 in one eye and 20/15 in the other. He originally had 20/400 in each eye.
He got the bladeless lasik done, they give you a free consultation. They have an office in Nassau, and that is where the procedure is done.
If you'd like more information, FM me, you can use my husbands name as a recommendation, AND, you might be able to get it for the price we paid. My coworker had it done at the same place, and I told them I wanted to pay what she did, and they allowed it.

I had mine done at TLC - the Laser Care Center in Garden City by Dr. Donnenfeld over 10 years ago. I don't know what my vision was before, but I wore about a -8 or -9 in my contacts. Dr. Donnenfeld was great and I've had no problems. Best thing I ever did for myself!

I second TLC
I did not get it done, but my ex boyfriend used Dr. Donnenfeld, my boss and a few of my friends (one of them is actually an eye doctor and he went there)

Are you willing to travel as far as San Diego? If so, I have an excellent surgeon for you - award-winning, experienced, written about in medical journals, all that good stuff. If it's further than you were thinking, I certainly don't blame you
