Installing Kitchen Faucet
Anyone know if it is easy enough to install a new kitchen faucet?
I requested estimates from plumbers, but haven't heard back from anyone yet...
Anyone ever have it done? What does it cost approx?
TIA

Re: Installing Kitchen Faucet
DH and I did it a few weeks ago...we replaced the Kitchen Faucet/ seperate sprayer with a Faucet that pulls out into a sprayer. We put a soap dispenser where the sprayer hole was. It took us about two hours and we just followed the instructions that came with the new sprayer. The faucet cost $50 (on sale at Home Depot), the soap dispenser was $20 and we bought quick connect hoses which cost another $30....Total $100 and well worth it.

DH did this project a few weeks ago. It took about an hour but he is pretty handy.

Re: Installing Kitchen Faucet
It depends on your sink and faucet and the layout of the plumbing. DH tried for 2 days to do ours and we had to call a plumber who fixed it in 30 minutes but he said it was tough the way our plumbing was. It was still worth it to call the plumber and wasn't that expensive. DH officially said no more plumbing work because the plumber was so awesome.

Re: Installing Kitchen Faucet
It shoud be pretty easy, I installed a bathroom faucet.
I have the big orange Home Depot DIY book ( sorry I don't remember the name, I call it the orange book but I'll check when I get home) and that has helped me do a lot things I didn't think I could do.

Re: Installing Kitchen Faucet
It's easy but if you still don't want to be bothered with it, you could probably find a handyman on craigslist to do it on the cheap.
