upset with NCL

We booked a cruise with them for this summer and it went to st thomas(2days) Tortola, Smatana(sp). Well I decided to go on the website just to check things...and with out ANY NOTICE they change st. thomas to puerto Rico. Well I immediately contacted my travel agent and said is this ok?? NCL said they sent out letters to guest and travel agent. Let me just say BOTh of us never got a letter. Should I make a big deal of this???

If you're fine with going to PR instead of St. Thomas then I wouldn't make a big deal. Do you want NCL to refund your cruise? You can call them and see what they say, but there might be something in your documentation that says ports can be changed at any time... or something like that.

we did a 2 week panama canal cruise with ncl and one of the last stops was baja mexico. They decided to skip it. So they refunded the port charges and gave each guest a $200 credit. I'm not sure that they'd refund because I'm sure there is fine print somewhere. But you may be able to get some shipboard credits or a discount on a future cruise (that happened with carnival when we were in the middle of the gulf of mexico and the ship lost power - not a big deal except that it was the middle of august with no a/c -- and no midnight buffet which can be tragic on a cruise.)

I am going on that same cruise at the end of June. I booked late so I was aware but the rest of my family all got letters. i have never been to either place. I think they may have gotten some ship board credit or something.
