Dubrovnick Croatia?

Has anyone been to this area? We are leaving on Sat for my sisters wedding. What is there to do and to see?

Re: Dubrovnick Croatia?

I was in Dubrovnik in November. It is absolutely beautiful! We were only there for a day and took a tour of the city as part of an excursion (we were on a cruise).

We first visited Cavtat, which is a small town on the water, where we sat a cafe on the water and had some coffee.

We then visted the Old Town (which you can access from Pile Gate), where we walked around and visited a few churches and museums (I am drawing a blank on the exact names!). You can also walk the wall around Old Town.

Re: Dubrovnick Croatia?

OMG we LOVED Dubrovnik...it was a port on our HM cruise & it was our favorite. It is the new "in" place to be & the food/etc. is VERY reasonable. They are not on the Euro so things aren't out of control. We had 2 pizzas (w/ 2 friends), 4 beers & 2 sodas for $20 US dollars.

Definitely DO the wall walk....BUT do it first thing in the am or after the sun sets b/c it gets hot & its a distance to walk. Also bring water w/ you b/c the litle stops along the way are a rip...& the soda tasted funny to us.

I stopped there on my honeymoon. We took a Mediterannean cruise and Dubrovnik was our last stop.

I cannot say more wonderful things about the city! Chat Icon It was our favorite stop. The people were so incredibly friendly and grateful that you were there. The city is beautiful as well! We found a cliff and dove into the water for a private swim. I'll try to post some photos!

Have a great time!!!!
