bottle help - please!!
Hi,
I started my registry and put the Born Free bottles on there. However, as many of you know, they are super expensive! I am justifying it by saying that once I have the initial supply, I won't need to buy more. Ok, but then I read they have parts that make them tough to clean, as Dr. Brown's is.
So then I thought of the playtex with liners. However, since we're having twins, I'd be going through hundreds of liners per month, that I may as well go w/ Born Free.
Then I was told by numerous people Advent leaks.
Any input or ideas on this?? I am under the gun to get this registry completed, so I am desperate for help!!
Thanks.

Re: bottle help - please!!
I found the amazon reviews very helpful.
I am only having one, so I don't have to get as many as you do... but I DO like the idea of glass bottles. First, you know there are no wierd chemicals, but more importantly, the main part of the bottle goes in the dishwasher
much less clean-up but yeah, they're quite an investment in the beginning

Thanks for the reply! The only thing keeping me from the Born Free is the clean-up - I heard it was a lot of parts. I was hoping more people who registered for them would reply!!
Thanks again!!

Re: bottle help - please!!
My BFF uses the Born Free bottles and swears by them!! She said they are the best!! I registered for the Born Free bottles and I also registered for the Playtex Drop Ins. I didn't find the Born Free to be so much more expensive than the Dr. Brown's or Avent. It was a hard choice but I wasn't sure about the glass because I'm a total spaz and I was concerned about the chemicals in the plastic so these 2 seemed like a good choice. With my luck the baby will hate them both!!

Re: bottle help - please!!
I really like the Born Free and heard that Dr. Browns uses the non-safe plastic. I used Dr. Browns for the first 6 months and then switched over. I find Born Free a lot easier to clean and just as good (meaning that my DD doesn't get gas) as the Dr. Browns.

Re: bottle help - please!!
i wouldn't register for too many just yet....all babies are different and sometimes they dont' take to a particular brand of bottle. We tried 3 out on my daughter at the beginning, and the Dr. Brown's were her favorite...and they cut down on the bubble intake which helped with ehr gas. It was worth cleaning all of those extra parts to not have her in pain! So try not to get your heart set on one brand until the baby arrives and lets you know which ones are the best!

Re: bottle help - please!!
I started Hayley on the Playtex drop in's...I didn't find them a pain at all. Easy cleanup!! BUT Hayley did better on the Dr Brown's. It helped so much with her gas.
FYI-Avents leak if you tighten the top too much...at least that is what my friend told me

Re: bottle help - please!!
Had my baby on 4/16. I am breastfeeding, but need to supplement in between. I have BornFree bottles. So far he has taken very well to them and goes back to the breast. They are a lot of parts, but so far so good.

Is the cleaning really a pain?
