Foam Playmats
This has probably been posted before, but I'm not finding it easily when I search. Can someone please recommend a good, safe foam playmat for use with a 10 month old? The one I saw in Babies R' Us has the removable numbers and letters, so it is only good for ages 3 and up. Please help if you have a good mat that you are happy with.
Thanks!

Re: Foam Playmats
I got my foam mats at Sams Club last year. They come in a 4 pack and each square is 2 x 2. They are great. I used to put them out on my patio in the back so DS could play and I wouldnt worry about him hitting his head. I also brought them to a beach house I rented last year and didn't have to worry about DS on the rotting deck.

Re: Foam Playmats
Thank you for the response! Do you know what brand they are? I don't have a Sam's Club near me, so maybe I could look online for them if I know the brand name?

Re: Foam Playmats
What about the one from One Step Ahead?
I am not sure of the age range for them though.

Re: Foam Playmats
I got mine at Lowes for 14.00. They came in a pack of 4 in primary colors. They also had the alphabet ones there but I don't know if the letters came out. They were pretty cheap.

Re: Foam Playmats
I just looked it up. Go to Samsclub.com. Type in "foam mats" into the search engine. It will pop up. It actually comes in an 8 pack. It think it's by UTIL-A-MAT. I know they sell them elsewhere also but I cant remember where I've seen them. I just remember elsewhere it came in the 4 pack and it was more expensive.

Re: Foam Playmats
I got mine from one Step ahead...they have the removable numbers and letters but my 10 month old has NO clue how to get them out when they are flat on the floor. They are nice and thick. I love them! We have been using them since about 6-7 months.

Re: Foam Playmats
I got the one w/ the removable numbers/letters from Amazon for 29. It's been fine w/ my 9 month old. She took out a letter & was carrying it around--but 98% of the time she ignores/won't take them out.

Re: Foam Playmats
We have the abc ones from one step ahead...weve had them since my son was about 7 months, and they are great...no problem with them at all..
plus, the Z is extra, so he loves playing with it, and popping it out of the square.

Re: Foam Playmats
I have plain blue ones, they come in a four pack at Toys R Us (near the plastic furniture) and are $19.99. Each one is 2 feet by 2 feet. They are pretty thick and work just fine.

Re: Foam Playmats
Great - Thank you sooo much for all the responses! I really appreciate it. I am going to try and buy something ASAP so I can stop worrying about her hitting her head on the wood floor! Hope everyone had a good weekend, and thanks again.

Re: Foam Playmats
Bumping just b/c I'm looking for mats. One Step Ahead one seem to be what people recommend but in looking at it online there seem to be small pieces for the outer edges. Anyone else have this?
