Waxing question.

I am hoping you guys will help me. I just set an appt to get my first bikini wax for my cruise next week. Now, while I was there I asked the girl about leg waxing and how long you need to have let it grow in order to get it waxed. She told me that now would be the time to stop shaving if I wanted to do it in the springChat Icon I hope I misunderstood her - b/c she said the same thing for arm pit waxing. How would I go for 3 months w/o shaving my armpits without going nuts. What do most of you do?
TIA!Chat Icon

I would say 2-3 weeks, depending on how fast your hair grows. It has to be long enough for the wax to get hold off- not stubble or anything like that.

Re: Waxing question.

I did my legs and bikini... Legs took about 2-4 weeks to be good enough to get a good rip. Bikini was about 1-2 weeks for shear PAIN. OMG it doesnt feel too good the first time. Be braveChat Icon

Honestly, it's pretty bad Pam, but it's over really fast.
Take Advil before you go!

3 months is DEFINITELY too long...it depends how fast your hair grows- it should probably be about a half an inch when you get it waxed...I would say even a slow grower would only need a month to take care of that! Chat Icon

If this helps at all - the place where my friend goes (and I'm going to start going there) uses a cream that numbs you.
