Re: anyone been to nantucket?
i've never been to nantucket, but DH and i jsut took a trip to Cape Cod and we went to Martha's Vineyard for the day too. LOVED IT.... i would imagine that Nantucket would be very similar.
Cute B&B's and adorable shops ( very pricey though)

Benn to Nantucket, going back in Sept. My parents have a time share there so I'm not familiar with the Bed and Breakfasts. But I love it there

Re: anyone been to nantucket?
We went a few years ago and stayed at the Seven Sea Street Inn. We were very pleased with the inn, the food, the people there. It doesn't have a large garden or yard but it was very convenient to town.
It is VERY expensive. We budgeted way more than we thought we needed and spent it all! I'm assuming MV would be the same, since everything is being boated to the island. And it's not like you could shop around for better prices.
We were only there for a few days, ate a lot of places, rented bikes, went to the beach, took a tour of the island.
One thing you should know - you can't bring your car (without paying an exorbitant amount of money). We paid to park ours right by the ferry dock.
If you're staying further than a few blocks from the wharf, get a taxi. Dragging rolling suitcases over cobblestone streets is not easy!
If there's anything else I can tell you, let me know. This is my photo album from the trip.
