Re: anyone ever make a class big book?
I made class books with my second grade class and they loved it. One was entitled "Our Favorite Foods" and another was entitled "Our Favorite Movies." I hope this helps!

Re: anyone ever make a class big book?
When I taught kindergarten, we did these a lot. I would use a picture book read aloud to make our own "version" of the story. I would send them home as well. One family would get the book each night, and could share/read and comment on an attached comment page.
In fourth grade, just for fun, I've done them too. I did one at Halloween and we will also do a Poor Richard's Almanac(k) based on Ben Franklin's book.

Re: anyone ever make a class big book?
I just made one this week with my Kindergarten class. We went on a spring walk and then I read the book "I Went Walking". We then made our own version of the book based on our spring walk. On Monday I will begin to send it home with one child a day to read with their families.
