I am up 48 lbs. and I don't care Chat Icon It is for a good cause. I do get depressed whenever I go to a dr. appointment though, because they always make sure to tell me I shouldve only gained 25-35 lbs. WHATEVER!!!Chat Icon

Re: just got on the scale....

I gained about 10lbs the 1st trimester, 20lbs the 2nd trimester, and so far 18lbs the third trimester - with 2 weeks to go.

Re: just got on the scale....

Im about 28 weeks and up 28 lbs so far... the DR said that i am a little bit ahead- i feel bad & guilty sometimes, like i am eating too much- but i havent really been eating totally unhealthy- but the number on the scale really does make me nervous-

Re: just got on the scale....

this is exactly the reason i don't get on the scale Chat Icon i haven't been weighed since 16 weeks and i will go to the dr tomorrow and i expect to Chat Icon when i see how much i have gained... but i know it's pretty much all in my belly so that makes me feel a tiny bit better.

Re: just got on the scale....

I only check my weight at the docs otherwise I ignore the scale. As long as I'm staying active and feeling ok and, most of all, this baby is healthy, then numbers-shumbers. You're preggo, you're going to max out and then some. (The best feeling-haha-is when I almost reached my 6'2" DH's weight with #1, and with #2 I'm getting close again, and may top him!!)

My total weight gain has been 36 pounds so far and I have 5 weeks left! I gained only 4 pounds my first a second trimester! I was so sick with nausea so I barely ate! I've gained pretty much 32 pounds in the last 3 months which my Dr. was concerned about but in the end I don't care. I know it's for my Chat Icon so after I give birth I can always exercise and lose the weight. Even though they say the recommended weight gain is 25-35 pounds, everyone is different. If you feel self-conscience or concerned try doing some light exercise and walking. It's been helping me maintain my weight for the past 3 weeks. Maybe it will work for you too! Good luck!
