How much is the starting...
salary for a car salesperson?
I know they make salary and commission but how much is the starting salary?

it depends...my s/o works for infiniti and its no salary.just commission..they work on a drawer of 1600 a month and they have to make that back and whatever extra they keep. But like i said EVERY dealership is different.

i worked for a "big" dealership chain about 7 years ago.
I got paid $75 a week. Then commission on top. There is many ways to make money.
I made money per car I sold.
Then if I hit a certain number of cars each month I would get a bonus.
Then the manufacter gave bonus checks.

I went on an interview a few months ago at an infiniti dealer and the hiring manager told me they start you at $100 a week

I asked DH what his salespeople are paid. Totally depends. Anywhere from $100 to $750 a week. Depends on position, responsibilities, etc. And they get commission on top of that.

Gulp-lol!!!
I guess it all depends on what you sell then. My bil works for a luxury car dealership and makes good money but he probably makes more on commisions as the cars costs so much.

DH works for a luxury dealership also. The salary is very small, mainly commissions. There are bad weeks, and great weeks. Budgeting stinks, but he does well.
