What do you wear to an interview....
I ususally wear a black or dark brown skirt or pant suit with heels....
The other three that were interviewing were wearing less business like clothes...
JEANS with a white shirt-no resume in sight....
Capris with flats and white shirt and sweater.
Khakis's with a green sweater.
Did I miss the memo and overdress for the occasion?

ALWAYS a suit to an interview.
Dressing business casual or anything less than a suit doesn't cut it, unless you are interviewing for a very, very casual job.

The khakis and sweater are ok tho wouldn't be my choice, but the other 2 just throw me!!

the only time I have not worn a suit- is when I was coming directly from work- and had no time to change
and I would let them know that
actually- my current job asked me not to dress up for my final interview- I was coming to the office- and I was going to be replacing a current employee- and they didn't want her to find out and freak (she was unstable)

ITA. I always wear a suit to a first interview. I do wear fun colours though, like I wear a chocolate brown suit with a tangerine or salmon shirt under.
If the job is casual & I get a call back for more interviews I will wear business casual for the follow ups if I see people in jeans. I'll wear nice slacks and a sweater, for example.

ITA! there is never an excuse for not looking professional. people absolutely treat you differently when you're wearing a suit

i dont wear suit jackets because i dont look right in them lol. but i ALWAYS wear dark pants, heels, and a button down and wear appropriate accessories such as pearls or a conservative necklace/earrings. i would NEVER wear jeans or khakis!

I have an Interview at GreenDepot.com for an Assistant Buyer/Production Coordinator position. It is in the warehouse because that is where the corporate offices are. Still wear a full suit or can I get away with dressy pants?

I always wear a suit.
However I've noticed the dress in FL is a lot different and I've seen people show up in khaki's and a polo shirt or dress pants and a top (some guys dont even wear a tie) for an interview

I have never worn anything less then a suit, even when I knew the dress code at the possble place of employment was casual.
I have seen more people not wear a suit then I have actually seen wear one though.
