Re: When you stopped swaddling DC
He is totally ready to be unswaddled...completly breaks out of it & fights to go in.
So 2 weeks ago I did the whole one arm, no legs, etc...gradually broke him out of it. He is fine without it, but instaed of sleeping8-9 hrs at night, he is down to 6-7...and its driving me crazy!!!!! And sometimes, he even wakes before that & needs some type of "soothing"...pacifier, head rubbing, etc
I dont want to re-swaddle him again...this to shall pass, right?

Re: When you stopped swaddling DC
We had to stop swaddling DS cold turkey because he started rolling over onto his tummy... while swaddled!
He slept fine!

OMG! My DS is already able to wiggle himself in the Swaddle Me from the middle of the co-sleeper to the edge where the bed is. Its making me nervous that his face will get pinned up against the side. Its almost time to move to the big crib (but keep him swaddled--he loves it!).

Re: When you stopped swaddling DC
We didn't stop swaddling her for 4 months & I was dreading stopping, but she kept wiggling free.
I switched her to the sleepsak & there was never any problem (thankfully).

Re: When you stopped swaddling DC
I stopped the swaddling, totally broke him from it, but now we are back to it because we are dealing with eczema and without the swaddle, he is scratching the heck out of his face.
My DS's sleep did change when we stopped using the swaddle for naps. At night time, I found he slept about the same amount of time, but his naps definitely got shorter in the crib. If he didn't nap well one day, i would take him out in the car the next day or so for a long ride, so he would get a longer nap. Eventually, I think your DC will adjust.

Re: When you stopped swaddling DC
Once DS busted out of the MB third time in a row, I knew that it was time to stop swaddling. And it worked just fine...he slept like a champ.
