Not being asked back (not me)
A first year teacher in my department whom I mentor was told on Friday that she will not be back with us next year. I feel bad for her, but she really did dig her own grave.
I will still have to meet weekly with her as per our mentoring program. I am dreading these meetings because I think they are going to be totally awkward and I don't deal well with confrontation.
Any tips as to how to handle her for the remainder of the year?

Does she really have to be mentored if she isn't coming back??? Maybe talk to her about what she could have done differently? That is a hard situation??

Just be very professional. Find things to praise her on so this way she'll hopefully continue those things in her next position and your mentoring would have helped that.
