When do you plan to tell your company you are PG?

We are not TTC yet. Ideally I'd like to not be showing come review time in December.

When is it obvious that you are PG vs looking like you gained a few pounds?

I told everyone after my 12 week sono. But my boss knew right away since I work in a lab with potentially toxic chemicals.
I was able to hide it because I wear a lab coat at work. Otherwise I don't know what I would have done. I was showing pretty early.

I'm still in "hiding" and I'll be 18 weeks this Friday. I think I'll tell them next week but I don't know. I need to tell them soon though! lol

Re: When do you plan to tell your company you are PG?

I had to tell work at 10 weeks because it was peak season for us. I needed them to know why I might not pull my weight as much as I have in the past.

Although I did pull my weight and then some I felt better with them knowing.

I told immediate supervisor and manager at 9 weeks because I had terrible m/s and wanted them to know in the event I had to run from my desk.

I told my co-workers when I was 13 weeks

I plan to tell work sometime between 12 and 14 weeks.

As far as when people start to show, it really depends on the person. Some people are showing by 12 weeks, others by 16 weeks, and some around 20+ weeks. At the beginning, it is mostly due to bloat.

I told them at 8 weeks after we saw the heartbeat. They said they could already tell. I'm in HR working with a bunch of women though.

i'm 12 weeks, still haven't told them. i'll probably wait until 15 weeks. I work with all men, i'm sure their lips are all flapping over the 5lbs i've gained.

Re: When do you plan to tell your company you are PG?

my immediate supervisor guessed when i was only 5 1/2 weeks b/c i was peeing all the time Chat Icon and i have to walk by her office to get to the bathroom.

i told another co-worker (a close friend) soon after b/c i wasn't able to carry my gun anymore and i needed someone i could rely on to go in the field with me.

i told everyone else at work around 9-10 weeks i think... i probably should have waited but i was too excited Chat Icon and it all worked out in the end!

I am probably going to tell my boss @ 13 weeks. My boss & I have become friends outside of work. I want to tell her now As a friend (I am 10w2d) but her mother is sick & has been in the hospital for about 6-7 weeks now.... We also have out annual audit coming up which she is in charge of. She has a lot on her plate right now & I don't want to upset her, even though I knwo she will be happy for me.

Plus I don't think my boss or the CFO where expecting me to have kids for a few years. It will be a shock for them.

I am only telling my boss, the CFO & HR. Everyone else can figure it out on their own. I'm not going to make a big announcement about it.

Re: When do you plan to tell your company you are PG?

I'll probably tell them around 12-14 weeks...My bosses are in Cali, and they are going to be here the week after memorial day weekend which means I will be in my 10th week then, but I just don't feel comfortable telling them then..so I'll tell them at 12-14, although I could feasibly not tell them until the next time I see them which would be around 20 weeks or so, but I couldn't bring myself to do that, that would be really unfair!!!!Chat Icon
