If you have or hope to have more than your set of multiples

If you have or hope to have more than your set of multiples

I have a question. My kids are 16 months apart, so not exactly the same as having twins, but there are some similarities. They play together all the time, they get upset when the other is upset and try to calm them down, they look for each other when separated, they talk about the other non-stop when separated, etc.

DH and I were talking this weekend about having more kids. I would really like to have a 3rd, and DH is open to that, but not for about 2 more years. I feel bad that the next child won't have a built in playmate and friend like my 2 do now, and I worry that they will be resentful. And DH does not want more than 3, so having a 4th isn't an option, unless we are blessed with twins next time around.

Does anyone else feel this way? DH thinks I'm over-thinking things and being silly. TIA for any opinions or BTDT advice. Chat Icon

i think of that, but that hasn't make me rush to make another right away. I hope to have another within the next year. which will make them at 2.5 years apart. I hoping some of my friends will have another by the same time (you all know who you are) so the third DC will have some playmates.Chat Icon

BTW: I would mind having twins again. Then that is the solution.Chat Icon

Not a multiple mom but my kids are five years apart. What that new baby will have is more of you as your older two will be more independent and maybe even in school full time. Honestly, there are pluses and minuses either way. Also, last children with older siblings tend to "grow Up" quicker and do things earlier. So don't worry to much and I can't believe I'm agreeing with a DH, Chat Icon , and don't 'overthink". It's all good and it does all work out.
