May have to drop out of marathon
Signed up for MCM in October with my sisters and my sister's SIL. First it was a "women only" weekend then two husbands decided to come and now the SIL, whom I was supposed to room with, has just emailed us and said her DH is coming and they made their hotel reservations. So now my race weekend expenses have doubled because I'm rooming by myself. Not to mention I'm a little p.o.'d that everyone made their reservations but didn't bother to tell me till everything was said and done. Nice of all of you to just totally change the plans and leave me hanging. They know my DH can't come. I just can't justify the expenses now. My DH was trying to be understanding but he was like "Sweetie, a $1000.00 for a marathon weekend? Seriously?"
I'm still going to train as if I'm running it and try to find a marathon closer to home (in SC). Just totally bummed, you know?

i'm sorry that your plans have changed... but don't give up!!! find a race closer to home and stick with the training!!
