So i think i need resume help
but i cant afford to have it revise professionally.
im not getting any calls back from the jobs that i have been applying to, so i'm thinking it might be my resume.
Can anyone help me?
I would really appreciate it.
I'm trying to find a job as a receptionist, clerical work mainly in the fashion industry.

What sources are you using to find a job? Do you want a position in the city or LI?
I have worked in the fashion industry for 6 years now & I really like stylecareers.com & WWD
If you use a site like monster it may be harder to get a call back as so many people are on there. Also, I may still have the name of a fashion recruiting agency that I used a while ago. Let me look this weekend & I'll let you know.

i have been using craigslist and stylecareers.com
I'm looking in nyc since i live in queens and go to college in the city too.

yes, FIT has great services to help with this and you should make an appointment to talk to someone
hot jobs, monster, and 24seven inc are other great places for jobs
and there is a carrer board at FIT as well

try to tighten it up if possible. if it looks overwhelming or too wordy, it might get tossed. also, double check for spelling or grammar errors in your cover letter and resume itself. that could be the kiss of death.

how long have you been at FIT for?
have you done an internship?

Well at this point, i really don't know what i qualify for since i will be only getting my associates at the end of the fall semester and i still have two more years for my B.A
