Do not be afraid to take control of your healthcare. Waiting on someone else can be stressful, and if there are other options out there do not feel like you have to stay with one Dr.

i wanted to post again on this thread because this mornig i was watcihng the news and there was a breakthrough skin cancer treatment where in advanced cases, a persons own skin cells are used.
they said since this has been approved, it will be used on 25% of all cases.
i saw this and immediately thought of you.
Its called gene therapy.

I have went to a MOHS surgeon for a basal skin cancer spot to be removed. They will keep going deeper and deeper until they remove the cancer and it should be done in a day.
My thoughts and prayers are with you....

I know I shouldn't let the receptionist freak me out, but the bottom line is that they cannot get me in any sooner than my already scheduled surgery.
However, I am asking an MD that I know, to see if he can do anything to get me in earlier.
I am also going to get a hold of these slides and see about getting another reputable pathologist to read them.
