Re: Recommend your Flea/Tick/Heartworm Meds
My mini doxie Leo takes Interceptor for heartworm and Frontline Plus for fleas and ticks. I give him the Interceptor once per month. It's a small pill that I cover in peanut butter! Leo loves it!! I haven't done the Frontline yet- but will this weekend. It is a liquid that you put between the dog's shoulder blades and it makes it's way down the dog's back. HTH!

SENTINEL - It's a flea and tick/heartworm combo pill. It does not repel fleas but it renders them sterile. Katie has never had a flea though.
My parents use the same thing and before that they had had massive flea invasions.

Interceptor for heartworm and Frontline Plus for fleas/ticks.
This is what we use also. Never had a flea, ticks are either dead or dying. And she is in the woods daily.

Re: Recommend your Flea/Tick/Heartworm Meds
We use K9 Advantix. The 1st day we got Iggy, he was flea ridden. I freaked out and brought him to the vet (about 6pm). The vet gave him advantix and he had no more fleas by that night! I was amazed and stuck with it.
eta - we use Sentinel for heartworm.
