can someone tell me about vancouver? what are some good places to visit? we're looking to go and visit during early fall with our ds. he'll be 8-9 months then.

Vancouver is beautiful. I really would like to move there. We stayed there for 3 days, before our alaskan cruise.
We went to the observation tower; the aquarium, Grousse mountain, and the suspension bridge.
The Capilano suspension bridge is the BEST 'attraction' place I've ever been to. I think we took the public bus transportation there, and also to the mountain. The aquarium and observation tower are in the city proper.

That is what we did, we came in 2 days before our cruise left. I was very surprised that the cruise ship we were on did not mention that Capilano bridge as an excursion at the port.
If I remember properly, in order to get to the Capilano bridge you take a short ferry ride and then get on bus public transportation to get there. It gives you a nice look of the city and the more suburban areas.
