What did you do with regard to cleaning bottles? Did you use a sterilizer in addition to the dishwasher? I am unsure of what to do, we have enough bottles to get through one day for each baby. I just am not used to having to run the dishwasher every night and was curious as to how twin moms cleaned and sterilized bottles each day? I'm looking for the easiest obviously! Also, any recommendations on bottle sterilizers are greatly appreciated, I am using the Born Free bottles.

I dont use the dishwasher to clean bottles. I wash them out in the sink and then stick them in the sterilizer. I have the Advent one.

I wish there was an easy way to do it but I run my sterilizer between 2-3 times a day. If they werent expensive I would probably buy another one.

Well, I'm kind of glad to hear I can wash in the sink and use the sterilizer as opposed to running the dishwasher everyday! Does the advent one hold all brands or just advent?

I used the dishwasher. The last cycle sterilizes the bottles and running my dishwasher uses less water and energy than hand washing.

I think I had 16 bottlesChat Icon In the early, sleep deprived days, yes, sometimes I ran a less than full dishwasher with mostly bottlesChat Icon Much faster. I never had a separate sterilizer.

For the first six months I handwashed the bottles, (because I was afraid to use the dishwasher in case of anything we ate getting in there and if they were allergic to it) then sterilized them with the microwave sterilizer. After six months I ran them through the dishwasher and never used the sterilizer again.

I have done both hand wash & dishwasher. I only sterilized the bottles before I used them the 1st time.

I used my dishwasher, it had a sterilizer function.

I had a one or two more then one days worth, so that I would not have to make new bottles first thing in the morning. I did feel like I was alwasy running the dishwasher though.
