7 week old piggy?

My DS is 7 weeks old and downs a 7 -8 ounce bottle of expressed BM about every 3-5 hours! How can he possibly fit that much in his belly? I thought their stomachs were supposed to be about the size of their fist? I mentioned it to the ped. and she didn't seem concerned. What do you think?

DS was on about 42 oz of formula at that age. Totally over hte recommended amount. My ped said try to lower the amount, I told her to take it up with teh boss (DS)

He was eating 6-7oz every 3 hours on the dot (not at night though) For us the extra calories during the day helped him sleep 6-8 hours straight at night!

Still I say DS doesnt have the full sensor, he just keeps eating until I stop him!
